Christ Church Meadow.
Is one of my favourite places in Oxford. It’s only a short distance from the main hustle and bustle of
Oxford. Though once inside the confines of the meadow you can at least for a little while enjoy the notion that you are in the countryside and not the urban chaos of Oxford.
The actual meadow is fenced off, but has a long path that winds it’s way around the meadow. A tree lined avenue leads you towards the River Thames, where you will discover benches to sit and a variety of birds that compete for your attention and lunch. You may also see from time to time, students rowing on the River for their respective Colleges.
In the photograph you can see that a group of women are having what looks to be an Alice In Wonderland themed tea party, in the distance you can see the fenced off meadow. Which usually contains Christ Church Colleges prized herd of cows.
